It’s time to climb again …
About me
I’m just a simple gal who enjoys doing things that lift my spirit and helps others — climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro to further a cure for breast cancer is perfect combination for both!
)
Why am I doing this?
A few years ago I realized I had far too many friends who had survived or lost a battle to breast cancer. In 2007, I climbed Mt. Rainier for Climb to Fight Breast Cancer — a truly life-changing event!! I’m ready to challenge myself once again in support of the cause of finding a cure for breast cancer. This year I’m partnering with a wonderful friend and amazing woman to climb as a team — Babes Climbing 4 Boobies
)
Specifically, I’m climbing on behalf of the following people:
- Loretta Messick – my friend and eternal neighbor who is celebrating 10 years of being breast cancer free!
- Felicia Nowak – friend and breast cancer survivor
- Thelma Teale – my amazing grandmother who passed away after a noble fight with pancreatic cancer. Her legacy inspires me to be a better person every, single day.
- Aunt Jeri & Aunt Helen – two dynamic women who lost their battle with cancer but will be never be forgotten
Personally, I climb because it’s a spiritual experience that makes me a stronger and more compassionate human being. The experience is even more rewarding when it benefits a worthy cause such as finding a cure for breast cancer.
